My Work With AI Is Built on Nearly Two Decades of Business Experience
I help business owners and organizations use AI to strengthen their marketing, improve customer experiences, and create systems that support how the business really needs to operate.
That work is grounded in years of leading teams, analyzing multimillion dollar sales, building a successful brand, consulting with business owners, and teaching people how to execute.
AI did not give me my business expertise. It gave me another way to apply it.
AI Built for Business. Strategy Built for Results.

My Story
My Business Education Started on the Sales Floor
My career in retail began in 2008 when I walked into Rue21 to shop and the store manager asked if I wanted a job.
I never submitted an application.
That opportunity eventually led to me becoming a traveling assistant manager. I worked throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee. I helped open and merchandise new stores, trained staff, supported locations experiencing management shortages, and helped teams improve their sales.
I learned how to enter an unfamiliar environment, identify what was missing, and help people get the operation back on track.
I left Rue21 in 2012 after returning from maternity leave. I had been promised a promotion, but the district manager who made that promise left while I was away. The new district manager chose not to honor it.
That decision closed one chapter. My reputation opened the next one.
My Story
I Was Recruited Into Victoria’s Secret
My former district manager at Rue21 recommended me to a Victoria’s Secret store manager who was looking for someone with my experience. She found me and recruited me for the position.
As an assistant manager, I was responsible for nearly every part of the store except scheduling. I handled hiring, firing, recruiting, merchandising, sales performance, associate coaching, and goal setting.
My store manager recognized that I was especially strong at analyzing numbers. She placed me in charge of that area, and our results caught the attention of the district manager.
Once the district manager learned I was responsible for the analysis, she made me the person store managers contacted before their district conference calls. I helped them examine their numbers, understand their performance, and establish goals for their stores.
By late 2015, I had been promoted to store manager. I was the youngest Victoria’s Secret store manager in North Carolina and the only Black store manager in Eastern North Carolina.
During my time there, I helped grow our location from a $1 million store into a $2 million store.
Victoria’s Secret taught me how sales, branding, email marketing, customer loyalty, merchandising, employee development, and performance analysis work together. Those lessons still influence how I approach business today.
My Story
Then the Career I Built Ended
I married my husband on June 25, 2016. We returned from our honeymoon on July 4.
One week later, Victoria’s Secret fired me for allowing a customer to use too many coupons in one transaction.
I remain grateful for everything I learned there, even though I disagree with how my time with the company ended.
It took several months to find another position.
In the fall of 2016, another company hired me to manage a store that ranked last in its district for online sales. After fully staffing the location and correcting its operations, I moved it from last place to number two in approximately two months.
The district manager who hired me was later transferred. Her replacement was racist and prejudiced toward me and the Black members of my staff. I challenged her treatment of us and ultimately left the company in February 2017.
After that, employers repeatedly told me I was overqualified. Others assumed I would not listen to leadership if I accepted a position that was not in management.
I needed a paycheck. They saw my experience as a problem.
Then my life changed again.
My Story
On April 8, 2017, Our House Exploded
I did not have a job.
My husband and I were newlyweds raising our daughter.
Now we did not have a home.
We moved in with my mother while I continued trying to determine what came next.
On May 14, which is my father’s birthday and fell around Mother’s Day, I told him how frustrated I was that no one would hire me.
“Nisha, if no door will open for you, then you either need to find a new door or create your own door.”
Moving was not an option. We had lost our home and did not have a second income.
I knew I needed to create my own door. I just did not know what that door would be.
My Story
The Answer Came at Three in the Morning
A few days later, I woke up at three in the morning after having a dream.
I was standing in a pitch black room. A name flashed in purple on my left. Another name flashed in green on my right.
The name in purple became the name of my online boutique.
The name in green led me to a vendor I contacted the next day.
I explained that I had always wanted to own an online boutique. I had studied fashion and marketing in college and had years of retail experience, but I did not have anywhere to store merchandise.
The vendor told me they were testing a fulfillment model called dropshipping.
I was ready.
My laptop had been destroyed in the explosion, so I built the Shopify website from my phone.
The boutique launched on July 2, 2017.
My Story
I Built the Systems Before I Launched the Store
My training taught me that a website alone does not create a successful business.
Before the boutique opened, I had already recruited 11 brand ambassadors. I had my email marketing prepared. I had a customer rewards system in place.
I built the business infrastructure before asking people to buy.
That boutique remained open for seven years.
Because of how I lead my Instagram with intention, Walmart recruited the brand to sell through its website. I produced fashion shows and built a team that included seven female models, three male models, photographers, and videographers. I worked with stylists and people connected to several Real Housewives franchises.
Email marketing and Instagram were central to the boutique’s growth. I understood how to attract attention, maintain customer relationships, and turn marketing into sales because I had spent years studying those relationships inside real businesses.
The boutique became my proof.
My Story
People Started Asking for the Strategy
Business owners saw what I was building and wanted my help.
In 2018, I began helping people launch and grow their own online boutiques. My work expanded into social media marketing, email marketing, website audits, and website creation.
In 2019, I started my YouTube channel because people wanted greater access to what I knew.
Teaching was no longer something I did inside stores or private conversations. It became a central part of my work.
My Story
AI Became Another Tool Inside the Business
I began using ChatGPT in my boutique in 2023.
I did not approach AI as a shortcut or a replacement for business strategy. I used it inside a business that already had customers, marketing systems, brand standards, and years of operating experience.
That distinction matters.
A tool can help you move faster. It cannot correct a business owner who does not understand the decision being made.
In 2024, God told me it was time to close the boutique and concentrate on teaching.
That same year, Ruthie and I connected through Alignable. She invited me to teach small business owners how to use ChatGPT through the Small Business Center at Nash Community College where she served as the director.
I began working with the Center in May 2024.
That opportunity expanded into workshops and speaking engagements with the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Center at Edgecombe Community College, and the Small Business Center at Roanoke Chowan Community College in Ahoskie.
I have now taught business owners and organizations throughout North Carolina and online. I continue teaching through YouTube, my masterclasses, consulting, and practical AI business services.
The Difference
What I Bring Into Every Room
I understand the numbers behind a business.
I understand the people responsible for producing those numbers.
I understand what happens when branding, marketing, customer experience, and operations are treated like separate responsibilities.
I know how to identify what is missing, explain it in plain language, and help people move from confusion into execution.
You will not leave one of my sessions with a list of AI tools and no idea what to do next.
You will understand how to think about the business problem first, where AI belongs in the solution, and what needs to happen after the session ends.
